I thought I would quickly write an email to let you know how The Secret has utterly transformed my life.

I was introduced to the audio book by a friend a few weeks back, and I have listened to it every single day since. It is a phenomenal book. But little did I know just how powerful and how accurate that Law of Attraction is!

I gave up my highly paid job in TV to become a wedding photographer, just after my wife had given us twins. Plus we already had a two year old toddler. Everyone thought I was mad, giving up the security of a well paid career to pursue a life of instability as a wedding photographer. I knew exactly what I was doing though, because I wanted a change and believed deep in my heart that photography was the right new path for me. Especially given the fact that we had three children under the age of three – I needed a better work/life balance, and wedding photography would give me that flexibility.

After persuading my wife, I finally took redundancy and started off from scratch as a wedding photographer. It was a terrifying leap into the unknown. Though as someone once told me, “jump and the net will appear.”

Of course, the net appeared, and I had a fantastic first year, though to take my photography to the next level I needed more exposure and the right kind of exposure, to appeal to the right kind of people. So after listening to The Secret, over and over again, I had a brainwave. I HAD to get my work published in Vogue. Vogue magazine is the pinnacle of fashion and by hook or by crook I had to get published in that magazine.

I had this thought on Saturday, 3rd April, 2010. Just four days ago. I didn’t tell anyone about this thought. I just kept it to myself. I then asked, believed, and received. I expected it would happen. I didn’t know when it would happen, but I absolutely knew it would happen. This year definitely. I could even see it happening. I heard of the miraculous story of the guy who visualised the feather who then found the exact feather on the road. Here was a little test to see if the Law of Attraction would work for me with Vogue.

Then yesterday lunchtime I had an email from Vogue magazine. They emailed ME! I nearly fell off my chair. A lovely young lady emailed from Vogue to tell me that she was doing a feature in the June magazine and would I like to be included!!! The feature is called Hot Shots – Vogue’s definitive guide to the most exclusive Photographers for all occasions. How she got my email address is unknown to me. I have never been in contact with Vogue before! They have never emailed me before. I’ve never had any of my wedding photography published before, so I was totally mystified. Though how Vogue got my details is academic. The most important thing was the Law of Attraction worked, and I couldn’t contain my excitement. It had taken four days for the Law of Attraction to work its magic.

So much so that I woke up at 2:30am this morning thinking about the power of the Law of Attraction and what else I WILL achieve just by applying the law and believing it will happen.

I am so excited.

I turn 40 in June and I remember reading once that if you hadn’t made it in life by the time you were 40 you were never going to make it. I’m about to prove that person wrong. Watch this space everyone, superstar wedding photographer Jay Rowden is coming your way.
