I have been following The Secret for about 2 years now. I am not someone who reads the book daily. However, every few days, I know I need a dose of the book and so I read it or plug the audio book into my ears.

My professional life has been pretty erratic with a lot of company switches, for different reasons, all in a span of 2 years. And you know how they say, it is not good to have too many job changes on your CV.
About 2 months ago, while working in my office one day, I just vowed to myself that by September this year, my monthly income will go up by 50%. I just thought about this for a few days and then completely forgot all about it in the humdrum of daily life.

And then suddenly last week, I got an opportunity, out of just nowhere. I did not think, I just acted on it, but expecting nothing out of it. But I went for it with all the happiness in me.

Today, I have the letter in my hand. The letter that talks about the pay hike that I am going to get. Starting September, my salary will be the exact amount that I had thought it would be 50% more than my current pay! I know that this is all because of the gift called The Secret.
