The Envelope That Was Almost Trash
Submitted by: Amanda
Westminster, COI am now 21 years old. I was 19 years old when my story took place and it changed completely changed my life because I now understood The Secret.
This story took place in November of 2007. I was going through a really rough time in my life and was struggling to pay my bills. I had just read The Secret a week or so before this particular day occurred and it changed my life.
I was having a pretty bad day, worse than usual, and decided to go for a drive. I went to a pond that I go to sometimes when I need to clear my head. I sat there for about 45 minutes wishing and willing myself to get the money I needed to help get myself out my financial bind. I imagined paying my most important bills off and how it would feel once they were gone just like they teach you in The Secret.
Well after focusing on that for almost an hour I got up and left to head home and do some chores around my house and clean out my car. I got home and started some laundry then went out to my car to fish through all the trash that had piled up. I grabbed a trash bag and started throwing trash and needless stuff away. I picked up an envelope and went to throw it in the bag but then got the sudden urge to look inside because I wasnt sure I knew what was in it.
When I opened it up I found $504.00 inside, Five one hundred dollar bills and 4 dollar bills. I remember standing on the side walk looking up at the sky for 20 minutes and once I was finally able to freak out about it I told the universe and the law of attraction thank you.
Most people that I told that story to that day, told me I should just blow it and buy whatever I wanted but I knew the purpose for this money was because I had visualized what I needed it for and that was the whole point of it, to help me through my financial issues.
I will never forget that day and I try very hard now even two years later to remember that positive thoughts and visualization will you bring you whatever you want out of life no matter how big, impossible, or unlikely something may seem. If you see it in your mind you’ll hold it in your hands and I am a prime example of that.
