As I told Rhonda in a mail, I’m going to explain how The Secret entered in my life, first in English and then in Spanish. As I told her, reading the personal stories from people who are like me has helped me to internalise The Secret in my life and to increase my belief that it works. Unfortunately, not every person speaks /understands English, so if everybody who speaks another language can write their story in English and the other language they speak, this would help other people.

Well, here is my story. I was introduced to The Secret in January. My ex-boyfriend had just broken up the relationship. I was very sad (although I’m very happy and optimistic). I couldn’t understand what had happened because I felt (and I still feel) he loved me. This was the reason: he travels all around the world because of his job and he had just been promoted. He was told to travel much more and to go to live in another country. He thought he isn’t able to keep the relationship with the distance, and thought I deserve much more than a few mails and phone calls.

One of my friends had started to read The Secret and told me about it. She also had problems with her boyfriend. I heard everything she said, but I wasn’t able to think about it. Then she left Spain and went to live in Peru with her boyfriend (she had thought about this possibility, believed and felt, then the Universe gave her what she wanted), and nobody else talked to me about The Secret.

In June was my birthday, and my friends gave me three books! None of them was The Secret. It was at that moment when I thought, “One of these books could have been The Secret,” but I didn’t do anything to get it.

Well, in July was my sister’s birthday, and a friend gave her the book!!! When I saw it in her bag I couldn’t believe I was going to be able to read the book!!! I got very excited and happy.

I’ve read it two times, and I’m doing what is said in it. It has helped me to understand my feelings and instinct and to BELIEVE and HAVE FAITH. I know God has brought the book to me, to make my life easier and to remember He will give me what I want, without any doubt. He doesn’t disappoint people who trust in Him.

Now, my story in Spanish:

Como sé que no todo el mundo tiene oportunidad de entender el inglés decidí escribir mi historia en los dos idiomas, ya que leer las historias personales, de gente como yo, es lo que me está ayudando a internalizar la creencia de que El Secreto funciona.

El Secreto llegó a mí en enero. Mi ex-novio acababa de cortar la relación. Yo estaba muy triste (a pesar de ser muy alegre y optimista), no podía entender qué había pasado ya que sentía (y todavía siento) que él me quería. Esta es la razón: él trabaja alrededor del mundo por su trabajo y acababan de ascenderlo. Le dijeron que tenía que viajar mucho más y que tendría que irse a vivir a otro país. Él pensó que no es capaz de mantener una relación a distancia y pensó que yo me merezco mucho más que unos cuantos mails y llamadas telefónicas.
Una de mis amigas acababa de empezar a leer El Secreto y me habló de él. Ella también tenía problemas con su novio. Yo escuchaba todo lo que me decía pero no era capaz de pensar en ello. Entonces ella se fue de España para irse a vivir a Perú con su novio (ella pensó en esta posibilidad, creyó y sintió, entonces el Universo le dio lo que ella quería) y entonces nadie más me volvió a hablar del Secreto.

En junio fue mi cumpleaños y mis amigos me regalaron ¡tres libros! Ninguno de ellos fue El Secreto. Fue en ese instante cuando pensé “uno de esos libros podría haber sido El Secreto”, pero no hice nada para tenerlo.

Bien, en julio fue el cumpleaños de mi hermana y una amiga suya ¡se lo regaló! Cuando lo vi en su bolso no me podía creer que ¡iba a leer el libro! Me emocioné y me sentí muy feliz.

Lo he leído dos veces y estoy haciendo lo que dicen en él. Me ha ayudado a entender mis sentimientos e instinto y a CREER y TENER FE. Sé que Dios trajo el libro a mí, para hacerme la vida más fácil y recordarme que Él me dará lo que quiera, sin ninguna duda. Él no defrauda a la gente que confía en Él.
