It all happened with a single email from a friend, containing the trailer of The Secret. The great editing work combined with the music drew me in at once, and I made sure to see the movie when it came out. I was amazed by it, the knowledge. And it didn’t take long before I put it to the test.

First of all I attracted small things. When I attracted ice cream, I actually got three ice creams offered the very next day. So I tried it with money… And I got twice the amount I asked for! (It’s even 4 times that amount today!)

For some reason, I still felt some doubt. How far does this go? Is there any limit to visualization? And once again, I put it to the test. I started with my biggest challenge so far: Breaking into Hollywood. And believe me; Hollywood is something HUGE, if you live in a small country like the Netherlands.

At first, it was terrible. I decided that I wanted to have an amazing internship somewhere abroad. But there where so many things that scared me. The first time on a plane, the first time living on my own, the first time this far away from home, all alone… But I was stubborn, and I didn’t give up. I watched The Secret countless times, read books like ‘The Master Key System’, and asked for help at the ‘Powerful Intentions’ forums.

And believe me, it all paid off! When I got over my fear, I got three replies to my letters requesting an internship right away. One of these replies felt different. I got in contact with someone who was very interested in my work, and wanted me to get to Hollywood! As soon as possible! He offered me great chances, opportunities… and I realized that this was it. This is what I was waiting for.

One by one, I got over my fears. My parents saw me getting stronger, and they offered me their (financial) support. My teachers got into it too, and they gave me a list of tips for the trip. My friends encouraged me with their messages. The only thing left was a place to stay when I was there.

So there I was… I was going to leave to LA the next day, without a place to sleep. But I was still stubborn. I packed my bags, arranged everything else, and was ready to leave. And on that very last day, I got in touch with a great couple, and a perfect apartment. The best you could possibly find.

And here I am, typing this story from my apartment next to Sunset Boulevard. Right in the middle of Hollywood. Right in the middle of where everything happens that matters for me. Today, I’m going to start my actual internship in the Office. I just know this is going to be awesome!

I already felt like one of the happiest girls on earth. But now, I can’t even express my joy in words. I am living my dream! Not a small thing, not a substitute, but the REAL THING! And I realize that this is still just the beginning. My biggest goals are also coming true right now.

I can assure you, I will thank you Rhonda, when I win that Oscar!
