The 3 T’s – Think, Thank, and Trust.
Submitted by: LM
New JerseyI am a married 28 year old living each day with absolute gratitude for all the blessings that come my way. I put my complete trust in the universe, and in the power of intention.
I have always been unbelievably lucky when it comes to finding jobs. When I finished grad school in London, I was one of 10% of people that year who were sponsored for a work permit to be part of a prestigious accounting firm. When I got married and moved to New York, I easily found employment in an investment firm, and right before a massive layout, I moved to an accounting firm, where I am still currently working.
I have been at my place of employment for just over a year now. When I was 3 months into my employment, our team was told that our roles were being outsourced, and there would be some layoffs. That was in May 2009. In January of 2010, they confirmed that 4 out of the current 13 roles were being eliminated. They were also changing the team structure and would be promoting 2 people to the level of senior supervisors, just one step under manager, a big jump from an administrative level.
Being a practical person, I knew I was the last person hired to join the group, which meant that I was least experienced. I knew that some of the members of my team had been around for 10-20 years. What chance did I have of still having a job?
I decided then to change my thinking. I have been tithing for years, and knew that I wanted to continue to do so. That is what I focused on. I trusted that the universe would take care of me no matter what. I continued to work as if my job was completely secure. I was joyful and happy. I did not allow myself to be angry or upset at the higher-ups who were working on the outsourcing project. I looked at this objectively and blessed the project and the people handling it.
The thought did come to my mind, “what if I was given the Senior Supervisor position?” I enjoyed the feeling, but at the same time I knew I would also be happy just keeping my old role.
The day arrived when they would tell us who they were keeping. Each of us had an individual meeting where our future in the company would be revealed. I slept well the night before, and walked into the room nervous to know, but at the same time okay with whatever the results would be.
To my complete and utter surprise, I was offered a senior supervisor position! ME ! For about 20 minutes I was absolutely speechless, and when I could manage to talk, I was continually thanking the manager who gave me the news.
The news I got was amazing, and it was then that I truly BELIEVED. I BEAT the odds against me. My colleagues who heard about my promotion were equally surprised. I explained to them my “attitude of gratitude” and tithing, and attributed my success to these practices. I got a $5,000 raise, and a promotion!
My promotion is effective in March, the same month I needed more tithe money for an event which I was sponsoring and would benefit 60 people. I didnt know how I would manage, but I trusted and let go. The Universe answered in a BIG way. I am now continually project my next goal which is unfolding in the most beautiful way.
If you are ever sceptical about the law of attraction and if this actual works, it does. Just give it an opportunity to work in your life and you will see and FEEL the difference. Think of what you want in your life. Thank the universe for what you already have, Trust that what is the best for your will happen.
