Hello everyone! I would like to start off by thanking Rhonda and her team for sharing the power of The Secret with everyone! You have truly taught me the power of positive thinking! I would also like to thank those of you who have shared your stories on here. Your stories helped me to remain positive. Like many others who have submitted their stories, I knew I would be sharing my story someday as well.
Since I was in High School, I have always wanted to work my college years in a cafe, as I have always loved the atmosphere and ambience. One day, I decided I couldn’t study at home and decided to go to a cafe by my house to study. A few days later, I got the sudden urge to call and ask if they were currently hiring and I was told that they were!
After I applied, everything fell into place. I had to put in some effort, but I enjoyed doing it! I went in to introduce myself to the manager, who in turn invited me to a hiring fair they were having. I prepared many answers for interview questions and I even bought myself a professional outfit just for the interview.
The whole time, I imagined how fun it would be to work at this cafe. I have seen the other workers interact with each other, and I imagined myself with them joking around. I kept telling myself, “Relax, you have already asked the Universe for this job, so it is already yours.”
My interview went great, and I was able to talk to my interviewers and answer their questions with ease. After my second interview, the man interviewing me said he would “definitely recommend that the manager at my location follow up with my application.”
Even though he said this, I became worried that I would not get it. To combat my negative thoughts, I meditated and told myself, “I am the master of my thoughts. I am in charge of my body, my mind, my soul.” That really helped to erase my negative thoughts. I gave thanks that I even made it to the second interview. To feel positive, I also dressed in clothing similar to the cafe’s uniform and imagined myself working there. I felt really happy doing this, and I felt like I already got the job! I even spent slightly more money than I normally would, because I told myself, “Why not, you’re getting a job soon!”
Today, I got a call from the manager offering me a position! I start next week, and I am very excited!
My advice to anyone trying to achieve anything is to believe in yourself, feel happy and enthusiastic about what you’re doing, and be grateful! Visualize, and act as if you have already achieved it, because in reality, you have. Maybe not in this present moment, but the future you is already enjoying your achievements!
Thank you universe! And thank you for reading my story.
