Thank You for helping me believe
Thank you to everyone who has put heartfelt stories of their lives on here that have given me the strength and courage to carry on.
Many years ago I started a course which I failed. It took me a few years to pluck up the courage and to find the determination to go back and start all over again. I now understand why I didn’t make it – not because I was not intelligent but I didn’t believe in myself.
So I went back and started what was the making of my legal career. I was determined more then ever, and I didn’t give up. I studied part time and I worked full time.
Earlier this year my dad was diagnosed with cancer, and a true friend introduced me to the Secret. I read it and I practiced it more then ever, although dad had cancer I had him believing too. He never gave up. I started the course and every exam I passed I would call my dad first and tell him my results.
Although my dad had cancer he was a fighter and he always taught me never to give up on my dreams. He made me promise that I would sit through the exams no matter what. Then two days after he died I had my finals. A year earlier my dad had given me a card that said congratulations on passing your exams.
I took that card in to the exam with me, and after the exam I put the card on my vision board and I looked at it. On the 14th October 2010 I got my results and I finally passed my course.
Out of something so hard, I would read the inspirational stories everyone would write. I never gave up. Somehow my dad knew he’d become my inspiration to carry on. The card my dad gave me became my inspiration and my motivation to carry on. I believe every day that something good will come to everyone. Just believe and it truly will.
Thank you Rhonda and the whole world for everything I have.
Thank you dad. I hope I continue to make you proud.
This is one for you. x
