Before I found The Secret my life was in a state of depression and attracting a constant flow of negative forces in my life. I lost my car, through an accident, had found myself in legal trouble, was in financial problems and my client list was disappearing. I was unhappy. I wanted change but I didn’t know how or where to start.
One day, like many other I was home alone flipping through movies on Netflix and I came across one titled, THE SECRET. I read the description and at first was sceptical, then thought, what would this hurt? So I turned it on. By the end of it I instantly realized how every thought and action I had taken in my life had brought me to the moments and the moment I was currently in. I immediately started to change my thoughts and ordered the book because I wanted to learn as much as I could. I was raised in a religious home and was always told that god controlled my life and all that happen to me was determined by, if I did good things or bad things. I never realized before that the actual secret really was that I had the power to control my destiny. After The Secret I realized how the power of God was living through me and I had the power to change my life.
Within the first week I started to notice things changing, I was able to start completing task that had stemmed from my negative past. I also started getting calls about more work, and auditions and an agency called me and wanted to sign me. Within two weeks I landed my first stand in role in a film! Things really started to head in a totally new direction.
At this time I was almost up to the lease at the Apartment I was living.
I had searched for two months and viewed places and nothing worked and my room-mate wouldn’t agree on the place and or I wasn’t happy with it. We eventually decided to raise our combined rent rate we were looking for from $750 to the top limit of $900.
I found a place online that sounded nice but it was at the very top of the price range $975 a month, I decided I wanted to at least see it and I was holding on to the fact that my income was going to only increase in the coming months. I called the realtor and when we viewed it I knew from the instant I walked in, it was the place. It was perfect for me and my room-mate at this current point in our lives. But it was going to be hard financially we thought because it was a little higher than our price range. When I asked her the monthly payment, she said, here is the thing it was $975 a month but this morning I was told by the owner to lower it to $875 and I hadn’t had a chance to relist the new price. I was floored it was now in the right price range! My room-mate on the other hand was still sceptical and wanted to keep looking, at first I was upset and discouraged by his opinions and actions. But I decided to use The Secret and not allow negative thoughts to enter my mind. I went home and tapped a picture of the place to my vision board and envisioned everyday how I would decorate it. Even drew a layout of where the furniture would go.
Just to show how The Secret was not only working in my life in one area, it was working in my financial situation too. I went to the bank and asked them for two months bank statement, in order to show the realtor my proof of income for the condo application I was applying for. The banker accidently printed off the previous 3 months instead of 2. As I looked at the time frame and the amount of deposits it showed that from 3 months previous, when I first started applying The Secret to my life. My income went from $500 that month, the next it was $2500, and the present was about $3500. I was in awe, it was proving to me that this was really working in my life!
We applied for the Condo and were approved. I had to come up with $905 for the first month’s rent, I didn’t have it!, But I kept positive in spite of knowing I had to pay it, sign the papers and move in by November 27th. On that very day, I received a call from a client paying me $1060 and I signed the papers and moved all my stuff in the new condo on the same day! It was amazing! I had never experienced such a feeling! Knowing my thoughts and unwavering faith brought this place into my existence! Everything fell right into place, and not before, it happened all at that very moment of need! My life has truly been changed by, The Secret.
