Strong, Healthy and Cancer Free

Ottawa, OntarioI am a women who was diagnosed with breast cancer over 1 year ago.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2011 and was told that the tumor was so large that I would have to have a full mastectomy. Â As you can imagine I was devastated . Â My boyfriend and I left that first appointment not knowing what lay ahead of us. Â I had read “The Secret” previously and had applied the techniques to help me in other area’s of my life, like finding my dream job and changing my financial situation, but this was different, I was now fighting for my life.
The surgeon had advised that I start with CHEMO therapy first to try and shrink the tumor prior to surgery. Â I went through seven months of chemo and started to re-read the Secret and also decided to purchase and read the “The Power”. Â Throughout my chemo treatments I practiced gratitude daily, every morning before getting out of bed I would tell the universe that I was strong and health, cancer free, and that I was grateful and thankful for keeping my breasts. Â I visualized myself on a beach in my bikini with both breast every day throughout the treatments.Â
Half way through my chemo treatments I was told that the tumor had shrunk  by half.  All my doctors were amazed at the dramatic change in the tumor size in such a short time and at how well I was doing  and healthy I was throughout the process.  So healthy in fact I continued to work full time at my job and only took time off on the days I went for CHEMO, which I was  repeatedly told was unheard during these kind of treatments. Â
At that point I decided to seek a second option from a different surgeon.  Upon meeting her, she was amazed at the progress and told me  that I was responding well to the treatment. She felt that she could very well save my breasts, and would only have to have a lumpectomy but there was no real guarantee.  I did very well throughout the chemo treatments and never really struggled with any bad side effects, which I credit to my overall mind set and gratitude for my health. Â
I read the books everyday and believed in what I wanted the outcome to be.  Long story short, I had surgery seven  months  after first being diagnosed and I am happy to say that I am healthy and cancer free all while getting to keep my breasts after my surgeon performed a radical new technique on me for the first time in her career. Â
I have now purchased “The Magic” and am working on applying all of these technical daily into my life.  I am so grateful and thankful for these books they have changed my life.
