Strangers are not as bad as one thinks

Halifax, Nova Scotia, CanadaA newly thought-provoked individual who has been birthed again and given a second chance. I want to unite everyone who knows of this knowledge.
I first learned of The Secret last year, and anyone who knew who I was will know I WAS pessimistic and skeptical on anything that seemed too good to be true.
During a part in The Secret, Bob Doyle says that for those who have a hard time believing in The Secret to start off with something small like a coffee. So one day I made it my goal to attract just a simple cup of coffee without buying one. I was having my last smoke at the bus stop, waiting to go to work, when this man arrived at the bus stop asking me for a smoke to which I responded, “It’s my last smoke, but I can give you the rest.” He said that was fine and we started to have a small chat about daily things; job, hobbies, etc.
The bus arrives and I get on it and walk to a vacant seat in the back by the window. The man gets on the bus, walks to where I was sitting, and asked if it was alright that he joins me. I told him I didn’t mind and we started talking, which was a pretty interesting conversation.
It was almost my stop when he asked me if I was in a hurry. I responded that I still had a half hour before I had to work. So he asked me, “Do you want to grab some coffee with me?” I could not believe it. Inside my mind, I was jumping up and down and it must have shown in my eyes, ’cause he added, “I take that as a yes.” Because I was so overjoyed, I didn’t even respond.
During my departure to work, he said one final thing to me and that was, “When I asked you if you wanted to grab some coffee, you kinda just paused there in awe. The look you had suggested you knew you were getting a coffee.” He had no idea or perhaps he DOES, in fact.
I tried to get his name, but he just said, “I’ll be around.” And he’s right, I had never seen him around before ’til that day of our meeting, and now I see him everywhere. And anytime I see him, we go for coffee. (Also at work that day, there was a coffee run – and those never happen!)
Not only did I manifest the coffee, but a newfound friend! So the real lesson in this is accepting, believing, and receiving, and your life will change for the better. 🙂
