I first watched The Secret movie about a month ago. I am in a flight school, training to become a fully qualified pilot in the near future. As part of the program, a trainee pilot is supposed to be able to go on a first solo flight after being checked by an instructor. I’m in a sponsored program which requires us to have gone solo by a certain number of hours, which is about 30 hours. At the time I watched The Secret I was at about 25 hours and I was beginning to feel frustrated especially that most of my colleagues had already gone solo.

I was put up for a solo check with a very strict Instructor whom I didn’t feel comfortable flying with since he demanded a lot from us student pilots. What I decided next changed my perspective of life completely. Using the information I had gathered from watching The Secret, I took a piece of paper and wrote down how I wanted my solo check to go and I also visualized flying with another instructor whom I knew I was comfortable with. I also wrote down that I wanted the instructor to let me go solo for the first five landings. I did this so that when it would happen I would definitely know that I was the one who attracted it.

To cut a long story short, I went solo within the first five landings, which isn’t the normal case with the instructor during a solo check and also, with the instructor I had visualized.

I’m grateful for the universe and I always make it a point of being grateful for everything in my life from that day to date. I went solo on the 15th of March this year.
