I must begin by saying that I have been happily married for 14 years to the person I consider my soul-mate. I have enough money to cover my expenses and have a pretty good life. Given the above, you might wonder why I thought I needed The Secret at all if I was already happy and grateful for everything I have, right?

The thing is, there was always something that didn’t quite work. And whatever it was it would always impact me so profoundly that I was, despite all I had, hardly ever happy. More often than not I was angry, annoyed, frustrated and suffering badly from “why me?!” I took it out on anyone who happened to be in my way, including my lovely husband. It was just little things, like someone always picking me to sit next to on the bus when there was plenty of other seats available.

I read The Secret and a small spark did flare up to make me wonder what if I just tried it? However it soon got extinguished by my stubborn side and years of preconceived notions about “metaphysical nonsense”. Some of it must have stuck though because I kept thinking about it. Eventually I watched The Secret and I was blown away!

The first thing that struck me was Bob Doyle saying that when people stub their toe out of bed it their day spirals. Suddenly I knew why people always sat next to ME: because I sat there thinking do NOT sit next to ME! Every time!

To cut this short, I began to think in the positive rather than negative. I would be grateful that my bus was on time, I got a seat to myself, I always had more than enough time to get everything done with time to spare and that I always got to be the first in line when a checkout opened at the supermarket. And above all else, I praised and blessed my calm demeanour and my ability to stay happy and positive no matter what, even though I certainly did not have this when I started being grateful for it!

And do you know what? It works! It works so well that I often have tears of gratitude in my eyes or I burst out giggling when I think about how easy life is now. The bus shows up when I am ready, I usually get a seat to myself or the person next to me moves when a seat becomes available at the next stop. Parcels get left at my door rather than taken back to the post office where I would have to go and pick them up. I find the things I am looking for in the supermarket, even though they’ve not had it for weeks. I get through my work almost with a song in my heart because I no longer take everything personally. I am sure that as I gain confidence I will apply The Secret to bigger and better things but I am already so much happier. I really can’t think of anything else I need! I even used it to find a lost glove today 🙂

So many small frustrations have been completely removed from my life that I cannot BUT be a believer. Thank you so very much for changing my life. To you Rhonda and the teachers who shared their knowledge. I cannot praise and bless your existence enough. I feel better, happier, healthier and stronger every day because of you and I could never thank you enough. The Secret works, all you have to do is USE it!!
