I discovered The Secret by accident. We picked up the book at an Art show and the owner told us we could have the book and we have become firm believers and practices of The Secret.

I had been in serious financial difficulties and dwelled on my unhappiness for several years. I called my mother frequently and shared my misery with her. I am sure this was not pleasant for her to hear all the time how miserable I was. My mother has been a long-time victim of pain from various ailments (including a broken ankle that had caused her to have to walk with a cane in constant pain) and in turn shared this with me.

Unfortunately, she tended to dwell on these ailments so much that our family, including me, had come to avoid her calls. After one such call and hearing once again how unhappy she was, I decided to share The Secret with her. I told her briefly how it had changed my life and she said she had noticed how happy I had become and was wondering what had happened to me. I told her how The Secret and helped me gain control of my money and feel grateful for what I have.

She checked out The Secret from the library, started reading and believing in it immediately and is now walking without a cane, has much less pain and we are able to talk about the book and how grateful we are for what we have instead of complaining to each other. Our relationship and conversations are so much better now! I am so grateful for the Universe putting the book in my and my mother’s hands!
