My name is Ravi Iyer. I had worked for the same employer for the past 16 years. I had done various jobs for them and had enjoyed working for them but I was no longer happy in my current job. The pay was less than I wanted and the job was no longer fulfilling enough. I decided that while I still wanted to work for the same employer, I wanted a job that paid me more money, where the people were good and there was a good working environment.

I had already read and watched The Secret, The Power, The Magic and The Secret Stories on The Secret website. So I knew what I needed to do to put The Secret to work.

I made a salary slip of the amount I wished I would receive every month and what I wanted to get out of my new job. I wanted to be specific about what I needed from my new job. I then started to visualize every day, imagining myself enjoying the work and enjoying working with my new colleagues.

I had not made any applications for the last 5 years, nor had I updated my profile on any of the job websites. Regardless, I got a call from my ex-boss. He told me that there is a vacancy in the new firm where he was working, and it had a job profile matching all the things that I wanted in my new job. I attended the interview and was selected, but the salary that I wanted was not the figure that they had proposed to me. I was interviewed again with the MD after 3 days, and this time they had called for negotiating my salary. The negotiated amount turned out to be more than what I had mentioned in the salary slip I had made!

In my present working company I gave my resignation and was relieved from the company with a superb send off from the staff, my co-workers and friends. I am going to start at my new job tomorrow.
