Approximately three years ago , while on a first date with a male friend, I was presented with a book called “The Secret”. I currently do not leave home without it! As a former Director of a homeless shelter in the Bronx NY, I always kept the book on my desk. I would open a page randomly to read each day because after my initial read, I truly felt that any piece of this book was applicable to life and life choices!
On many occasions, clients would ask me what the book was about and I would invite them to pick any page and read aloud or I would read for them as some people experienced illiteracy. I would specifically do this when there was a client who wanted to move out of the shelter into their own place or if there were health or financial issues. On every occasion, clients returned to hear some more of my testimonies from using “The Secret” such as seeing my first and second book come into fruition through my thoughts and visions.
