After a breakup in 2011 I felt my world was falling apart. I was a single mum with two young children barely getting by financially and not much support around me. I knew deep down that antidepressants weren’t going to fix it. I knew there was something in me that could help myself. My sister suggested The Secret and straight away I went to the bookshop and when I got there they had a deal on. The Secret, Hero and The Power, I took all 3. I knew that day those books were going to save me. I did the Gratitude Rock and opened my mind to the fact that we create our own destiny.

At first things moved fast. I felt better about myself, I was starting to feel secure financially and I was becoming a better and happier mum to my children. But it always seemed that I got so far and then, bang! I would face a hurdle or a struggle and I would crumble. Fear and anxiety would creep in and I would be back to square one. Very quickly I realised that I had to work on kidding myself that I was fearless, strong and brave. I would say it to myself over and over again. Once you master your thoughts and process, that’s the key.

When I finally got the courage to ‘fake it until I make it’, everything changed. My biggest drawback was having negative people and situations in my life and for this to really work I had to take a step away from anything that would burst my positive bubble. Only be around people and situations that make you feel good. Within a year of working hard to be that positive person, to dream big and to be grateful for every last thing that I attracted, big or small, everything came together and stayed. I was attracting all the right things, people, situations and love.

I now have my dream house and it is exactly how I visualised it. I have my dream job and I have no financial worries. The most extraordinary part of this was that as I was going through this lengthy process of opening my mind, I discovered I was psychic. I tell everyone about The Secret and always used wish I had a platform where I could encourage self help and positivity. Now I run a successful psychic business and I use that to promote positive self help. I can’t believe how I got to where I am. One thing I do know is that if I had not bought those books that day, my life would not be what it is now. Gratitude is key. Be grateful for everything in your life. It is not an easy process but once you master it you will be amazed at how your mind actually works. If this story makes one person pick up The Secret, than for that I will be so grateful.
