Scholarship, Visa And Study Abroad In Greece.
I decided to post my story before I leave Greece and share the power of attraction with everyone. I am a psych major who is trying to pursue a career in the U.N.
It all started when I took my seminar class in my University and told us about the study abroad experience. I never knew that we can earn credits toward my major while studying abroad. So, I got really excited to apply. I went to the study abroad office and they showed me all the different programs they had. I was interested in two programs. One in Greece and one in New York. They told me that I can’t apply to two programs, only one. I explained myself and they understood my situation and the next thing you know they gave me access to apply to both programs. They said getting into the program in Greece is much easier than getting into the one in New York since it is very competitive. I just thanked them because I knew that deep down inside that I was going to get into both programs.
Now, I had to think about the money, which was a lot. My programs cost me around $9000. I didn’t stress out over the money, I always believed that the money part will be solved. I applied to Financial Aid and scholarships and got awarded from both. However, I still needed one thing, which was the most important thing for Greece. A visa. I am not an American Citizen and I need to get a Schengen Visa to enter Greece.
I called the Greek embassy exactly 30 days before my flight. No one answered. I kept trying and trying with no luck. I started to get really worried and said to myself I have everything planned and ready, but without the visa I literally can’t do anything. I emailed them and they got back to me and said that you have to book your appointment online. I said to myself , wow that’s great. I went on the website to book an appointment and the first available one was on May 10th, and I am supposed to leave on May 15th. I got really stressed out and started to panic, but then I thought that if I go to the embassy in person, I can convince them to run my application right away because I don’t have enough time.
I kept praying and praying feeling extremely positive that I will come back with my visa. Surviving the Geek embassy on that day was quite an experience. There was one man who was super nice and went out of his way to help me out, however, the lady got so pissed that the man was so concerned about my application. I fought with her at the embassy, but for some reason she was still helping me out even though she was so angry. To make a long story short, I got my application processed that day and my visa was on my passport in less than 10 days. I came to Greece and had a great time visiting different islands while studying my course. I am leaving today, but didn’t want to leave before sharing this story with you from Greece.
Keep believing, it works. Sometimes we find it really hard to stay positive in this negative world, but the law of attraction makes the impossible possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you. For all The Secret team, you make this world a better place.
