Saving a school program

Oahu, HIEver since learning about The Secret I have begun to take charge of my life. I made a vision board and put all of my faith into it, knowing that I will receive what I asked for. The Secret has changed my life.
I learned about The Secret when I saw it on Oprah, and decided to see what the big deal was. I was deeply inspired by the book but had a difficult time applying it to my life. I felt that there were limitations to what could be done with it. I struggled to manifest things for myself for a while.
Months afterward I began to see The Secret work in many small ways. I began to see things I wanted appear, and realized it was because I wanted those things. This is when I decided to use The Secret for something bigger.
Our state Board of Education deemed it necessary to cut back on their budget by about $46.5 million. Through this cut they were going to eliminate the Peer Education Program. This affected me because I had been a student in Peer Education for two years. I hated to see such an important program disappear. My teacher asked students in our class to sign up to rally to save our program. This was one day before our week-long fall intercession. I signed up; willing to do whatever necessary to save PEP.
The following Monday we arrived at a high school to do sign waving and protesting. Three other classmates showed up along with our teacher. Other high school PEP students also showed up. The support we received for PEP was amazing. Many students, myself included, testified in front of the BOE to save PEP. By the end of the night I was completely confident that PEP was saved, even though the Board had not come to a decision yet. I just knew, without a shred of doubt, that our program was safe.
That Thursday we all returned to the same high school to hear the final decision. The Board decided that the Peer Education Program was too valuable to be eliminated, and saved it from the budget cut! I was thrilled to know that it was because of my unwavering faith that PEP would continue. I knew it was The Secret at work.
