In life it seems, we tend to get side tracked if we don’t “remember to remember”. As children, we believe in things wholeheartedly. As adults, we forget to remember because we permit worries and concerns that creep up here and there to stifle and block the way for us to simply believe in our hopes and dreams.

In ‘The Secret’ book, Rhonda’s statement about “remember to remember” really resonated with me. I always positively and instinctively felt my way through life and situations in my childhood and teens, then as an adult, everything felt like an uphill battle – because I forgot!

A few days after meditating on that comment for a while, in early May of this year, 2008, I heard over a radio station that my favorite band, Coldplay, would be throwing a free concert at Madison Square Garden. I have wanted to see them live in concert since 2002, but couldn’t spare the money for tickets. The DJ advised you could win them by going onto their website. I did just that – THEN I remembered the comment, “remember to remember”, so I chose to believe I would win them, and I visualized being a winner, holding the tickets in my hand. Another thing I did, motivated by the book, was to feel grateful about EVERYTHING, even about things that annoyed me. I’d say “thank you, thank you, thank you” just to get that feeling of gratitude flowing in my life.

Today, June 4th, 2008, I received an email confirming I have won a pair of tickets to their concert at MSG for June 23rd!!! The tickets arrive June 10, 2008. I’m floored and so thrilled!

I feel re-awakened – I will remember to remember from now on!
