I’ve been practicing The Secret for a few months now, and now I can honestly say that it has turned me into a different person. I now feel happier, I enjoy my job, and I am grateful for even the smallest joys in life, and things are only getting better.

Even though things still seem difficult at times, I now have the reassurance that there’s a greater power that will listen to the desires inside our hearts. I no longer feel so alone.

I first started applying The Secret while I was praying. I was asking God for a miracle. I wanted to believe that he was listening, and so did.

I suddenly saw a flash of an image of a wax stamp in my mind. It reminded me of the insignia in The Secret’s log. I started to remember about The Secret movie . I had seen it a long time ago, but I had only watched it less than half way because it all started sounding so absurd.

Well, I took desperate action this time and I decided to buy a few books about it. The book I bought mentioned about keeping an eye out for signs that your wish is coming true.

I received many of these of signs through the form of fortune cookies. In fact, after a week of starting using The Secret I got a fortune that said, “Your dearest dream is coming true “. I could not believe it; I pinned it to my corkboard next to my desk so I could look at it often and feel inspired. It was a very exciting moment for me.

For the next few weeks, I got many of these messages through the form of fortune cookies. It was strange because never in my life had I had these cookies or Chinese food so often. Sometimes, someone would give me a fortune cookie for no apparent reason, or everyone at my house would vote to eat Chinese for dinner, or someone at work would order Chinese for everyone. One time I even saw a crumbled piece of paper on the ground. I picked it up, and then I saw that it was a fortune from a fortune cookie. The most amazing thing was that everyone one of those fortunes somehow pertained to my wish. They would say things like, believe in yourself, love conquers all, determination will get you through this, etc. I have about ten of them now.

However, time would pass by and my faith would waver. Then I would rediscover inspiration through books like The Power, The Magic, and even non related books like the Alchemist. I have seen many signs, and received answers to all my questions since.

I was feeling very discouraged one day. Frustrated, I asked, why is all I get signs? Is this all you can do for me? I took all the negative feeling from my questions and turned it into a sincere inquiry.

Later that day, something really great happened.

The manifestation of “something unusual” became real. I had written down that I wanted to have a red quarter. I didn’t know how a quarter was going to be red as there is no such thing, right? I just knew it would happen. I asked, believed, and received.

And there is was, just laying on the ground, shining against the sun! A coin that had fallen in red paint, probably many years ago. Someone had dug it out of the ground to plant some shrubs and left it where I just happened to see it. I am holding the quarter in my hand now. It had the same red and same worn out look I had imagined. It’s great!

Now I am sure this works no matter what anyone says. I know that my greatest dream will realize itself because that is what I feel, that it already has.
