Realization.

SwitzerlandI am a 22 year old female, working in Switzerland. I have just read The Secret for the first time.
When I read The Secret, and read about living as though you already have those things, I had a flashback to my childhood.
At the age of 10, I used to use these visualization techniques and everything I visualized came true. It amazes me as to why I never continued with these techniques.
As a child, I desperately wanted glasses but after I went to the opticians I found that I didn’t actually need them. I imagined taking them off at night and putting them on again in the morning. I even bought fashion glasses to pretend I wore them. Next time I went to the opticians, I needed glasses. I had made my eyesight worse.
Another example I remember is that I hit puberty quite early, and as being an overweight child, my breasts started to develop quickly. I did not like it and imagined myself with no breasts and willed them not to grow every day. I pulled out my eyelashes and wished on them, as if eyelashes were little magical strands of answered prayers.
Now, despite ALL the women in my family having larger than average breasts, I am completely flat chested. Of course, now I imagine myself with them! Ha ha. As a child, I didn’t realize the repercussions of my actions! But it’s a lesson to think about your wishes, live them out with all the consequences and really know if that is what you want.
The Secret principles has been a part of my life since I was a child and I am so happy now that I have the knowledge to work with it and put it to good use.
