Random Date And Zero Balance!

I opened the FedEx envelope, pulled out the letter expecting another demand of payment from the Mortgage Company (MCo) on an overdue Home Equity Loan (HEL). I almost threw the envelope away! What I read had me running into my bedroom to fall to my knees and crying out in gratitude.
Over a month before I came upon The Secret movie at a point in my life when I had nothing to lose but to give it a try. Only difference is that I placed my Lord God into everything that I executed in practicing the Laws of Attraction (LofA). After all, it was the Lord God that created the universe. The universe is controlled by Him.
But first a little background.
Eleven months previously, I had been battling MCo about this HEL I took out in 2004 for $13,000. I paid, on an average, $80 religiously on the loan for 10 years, never missing a payment. Then I come to find out that every payment was interest only! In 10 years of making the minimum payments, I paid close to $9,000 in interest and very little went towards principle. Then, at the time I was realizing that I was being robbed, I got a letter from MCo stating that for the next 10 years I will have to continue to pay the $80 in interest and on top of that, pay an additional $80 to go towards the principle; double payment each month.
At that point, I was panicking. I was about to lose my job. It was obviously a fraudulent loan, but in my naivety I signed the contract. It made me sick to think that by the time I paid the principle, I would have paid around $26,000 for a $13,000 20-year loan.
I am a reasonable, gentle person, and in good faith, I called MCo to see about a loan modification and appealed to their sense of decency and fairness. This company was unwilling to work with me in any way. I filed complaint after complaint with different organizations about this company. MCo brushed me off like a pesky mosquito. I tried hard and in the end the company was unmerciful. I had no choice; I stopped paying on the loan. As a result, 7 months later, MCo was harassing me for payment and my overdue balance was close to $1400. My great credit score went from 728 to poor 601.
My situation was already dire, with my unemployment benefits running out and me not being able to meet multiple financial obligations each month. I was so afraid and stressed. MCo was trampling me even further into the mud.
So, about mid-March, after seeing and then reading more on applying the LofA with God in the picture, I download a free app that allowed me to list my LofA wishes and create mini-collages to view daily. Here is what I wrote for my wish:
“By 27 April 2015 I have received a letter from representative of the MCo announcing that my loan has been forgiven.”
Please note that the date was completely random. I added the company’s logo with a red circle and slash cutting it in the middle. I really don’t remember doing very much more with this wish except pray to God to help me eliminate some of my financial burden.
So, when the FedEx truck pulled up, all I could think of was MCo sending me another collection threat, and immediately my heart sunk. As the man handed me the envelope, I asked if I could decline acceptance, and he shook his head, telling me to just throw it away.
Again, I almost threw it away without opening! But thankfully, I was compelled to see what they had to say. It was from MCo. This was what I read:
April 24, 2015
Dear (my full name):
We are pleased to let you know that we have approved your home equity account for a principle forgiveness program offered by MCo as part of its recent settlement with the Department of Justice.
You will receive a full forgiveness of the remaining principal balance of $12,685.55 on your home equity account. That means that you will no longer owe this amount, and we will also waive any outstanding fees and accrued interest.
The letter continues towards the end…
Also, once we forgive the remaining balance on your home equity account, we will report to the major credit bureaus that your account was paid and charged off.
Shaking uncontrollably, crying and falling to my knees in thanking God, I then remembered the wish. I did not remember what date. Rushing to my android, I opened the app and stared in disbelief.
April 27, 2015! I received the letter on the random date I had chosen!
Literally and perfectly, my pray was answered. The joy felt in this realization only makes my relationship with my Holy Father stronger and belief and obedience in His laws unbreakable.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for opening up doors to a whole new world of possibilities and hope.
