I picked up a beautiful journal in my local book shop several years ago which had the title The Secret. I could not see a book that went with it but, being a writer and a sucker for a beautiful journal, I bought it. I could only go by the few notes that appeared in the book but I got the gist of The Secret and started writing down the many things I was grateful for and believe in. I wrote for the first couple of weeks but did not really know where I was going with it. Whenever I went into the book shop I tried to find a copy of the actual book but it was never there and the one time it was I could not afford to buy it. So I put the journal on the shelf.
A few months ago I came across a copy of The Secret by Rhonda Byrne in a local coffee shop where you can bring and swap books, so I picked it up, thereby attaining a copy that was free of charge. And at first I could not bring myself to actually read it. I was going through a difficult time. My mother had been very ill, I was being made redundant, again, my writing career seemed to have come to a stand still.
Finally, after battling my various problems for some weeks, I finally got round to reading The Secret. I started it yesterday. Today I have almost finished it. As I read it’s wonderful words of wisdom I felt a beautiful power of love and joy wash through me and I began applying the wisdom at once.
After my lunch break at my day job today, I got back to my computer to find a company name had come up on my call list and the company name was … The Secrets.
I knew there and then that my life would change for the better from then on. I feel full of confidence again. I believe in myself and my abilities and I have carried a lovely warm glow inside myself all day.
Thank you to every one for The Secret. I know that once I have finished it I will go back and re-read it because the power within it is infinite.
I am so grateful that I bought that journal so long ago. Now I can use it properly.
