After watching The Secret I completely changed my outlook on life. Instead of worrying and feeling negative, I started concentrating on everything that is going right in my life.

I realized that I have a lot to be thankful for, things that I normally had taken for granted in the past.

This got me thinking.

As a graphic designer I had folders and folders worth of unused designs. This is something that I used to grumble about, the fact that I had done all that work for nothing! But I decided to take that work and try and do something positive with it.

With my new attitude of gratitude, the first thing that came to my mind was to turn my designs into thank you cards. So I set about creating postcards of gratitude and appreciation to send out to people for all sorts of kind gestures. And so Project Thanku was born, (www.projectthanku.com).

Besides spreading out messages of gratitude, Project Thanku gives back to charity with 10% of each postcard sale being donated to our charity of the month. The first charity I have chosen to be charity of the month is going to be Pancreatic Cancer UK. After losing an aunty to pancreatic cancer earlier this year, it will be a nice way to keep her memory alive.

I feel excited, positive and grateful for my new venture and look forward to being able to give back to charity.
