I was not a straight A’s scorer but there was this desired list that everyone wished to be on. It was the Principal’s List. This list is for recognition for those with excellent academic results. I didn’t have any exact intention to get onto this list. I had the thought of just letting it happen if it could.
It was the first semester and all my friends had great results. The teacher was going to announce who had secured a place on the Principal’s List. As the teacher announced the students, I realized that all of my friends’ names had been called except mine. I was rather upset and felt left out while they celebrated.
So as the exams for the second semester neared, every night I would visualize my teacher calling out my name while reading the list. I would visualize my friends and I celebrating and even going up on stage, collecting the certificate and shaking hands with the principal.
Eventually, the exams came and I got my results back. I scored fairly well, a few A’s and B’s. Soon the list was announced. The list was short and the teacher went on announcing students’ names. The list was coming to an end and I had lost all hope of getting on the list when my name was suddenly called out. I was so shocked and happy and we celebrated with my friends.
In fact, I didn’t know this was anything to do with The Secret or visualization. I only made up these scenarios in my head because it was fun but looking back, I now realize that this was the work of visualization.
