One Small Shift Makes A Huge Difference.

PennsylvaniaI try to be as positive as possible, as often as possible. I strive to brighten the people around me and be a ray of light for dark places. I am a single mother of two little girls who are a mere 14 months apart. We are three musketeers who are taking on the world one one tea party at a time.
In my twenties I suffered from depression and anxiety. I battled through a divorce after getting married at a young age. I found a new love and married again. We struggled to get pregnant but we did finally succeed and had our beautiful daughter. It was during this time that I discovered The Secret. I was immediately sold. I tested the law of attraction right away because my vehicle needed new tires. I envisioned getting the new tires and driving on them. And, as you can imagine, a few weeks later my mom offered to get us new tires. I was amazed. I started to look at things in a positive light in all aspects. My husband was not very supportive of the process. However, I stuck to my beliefs and stayed positive.
Then, only a few months after our daughter was born, we found out we were pregnant again! It was overwhelming but also such an incredible blessing. The pregnancy was difficult since I had a baby at home as well, but I kept positive and powered through. By the time my second daughter was born, I knew my marriage was not going to last. As we approached her first birthday we were separated. It may sound awful but it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I know it may seem strange to hear a woman who is embarking on raising two young children alone say that she felt a weight lifted, but it was true.
Now, my youngest is 5 and my oldest will be 7 in a few days and life is simply magical. The three of us live in a cute home in a small town where I also work. They are both in school now and attend an aftercare program at the YWCA that affords me the opportunity to maintain my full time job. My ex and I actually have a very good relationship where we communicate regularly and he sees the girls often. Not every day is easy but I always try to make the best of it. When I am having particularly hard days, I read through this website and the stories we all submit. Today while I was doing just that, I had a customer call me. Out of nowhere he told me a little funny story about a lottery ticket. We both laughed like crazy and I hung up with a huge smile on my face. I have no doubt that shifting my mood after reading these stories helped to make that happy little moment happen.
Thank you all for your amazing stories and thank you to The Secret for continually shifting my perspective!
