Damascus, SyriaI am a 20 year old guy, born in Damascus, Syria and live there. I study at Damascus University, Faculty of Economics, Second Year.
My name is George, I am 20 years old from the middle east, Syria.
As you all know, there are some problems in Syria and our life gets harder day by day.
Many lot of companies have closed because of war!
One year ago, I read The Secret book, then I bought The Secret movie and I watched it.
I am a hopeful guy and always study and work hard in my life. I make my own money.
I don’t wait for help from my parents.
After I saw the movie I got more hopeful. And I made myself a promise that I want to be someone effective in this country. I will find work to make my life and my family’s life better and better.
I started doing some courses in a training center in the Red Crescent.
I started with computer skills and I finished a 100 hours of training in Microsoft Office, ICDL (International Computer Driving Lessons). After that I did a course in Marketing and CRM ( customer Relationship Services ) and I got the certificate for it.
After 1 month I did a special course in business called Small Business Startup and Management. It was about 42 hours and I finished it successfully.
I did a business plan for a small project that I want to make and the manager of the Red Crescent accepted it and they gave me money to start it!
It is about a small warehouse for drinks. I buy some boxes and sell them in my village in Damascus. Now am getting better Ùwith it and my warehouse gets better and bigger day by day.
And besides all of that, I study at University of Damascus in the capital of Syria. I
am in the second year of faculty of economics.
And wait !
There is another thing.
2 days ago I got a second job in one of the biggest and best companies in Syria! It’s name is The Syrian Company for Distribution and Marketing and I am a merchandiser for sales.
In the end I would like to say that nothing is impossible in our life. In our difficult situation in Syria I made my own work and found a second job, all that while going to University!
I make my own future and I am only 20! And I did all that! I am very proud if myself!
I would like to thank the Secret Team, for being in my life
and changed it !
Thank you all!
