Not a Miracle – I Just Know The Secret
Submitted by: Laurie L.
Palmdale, CAI am a single parent of four children, and a school teacher.
The story I will relay to you may seem unreal, but I can provide documentation to prove everything that I am saying.
I am a mother of four children and the sole provider for my household. I live in Southern California, where I work as a teacher.
Several months ago a relative sent me “The Secret”. I was very skeptical and didn’t watch it. The following are the events that had led me to watching “The Secret” and watching the miracle come to life.
My oldest son was going to college, my credit is bad and I knew I would not qualify for a parent loan, but I told him not to worry, that we would get him into school. I spoke with a financial aid counselor who told me that after applying for government assistance his balance would be about $15,000; the monthly payments would be about $500 a month. I told him not to worry, because despite the fact that the monthly payments would be high I would work overtime to get them paid as well as pay his living expenses (he also was unable to obtain housing).
Once we got to Florida (where the school was located) we were given a new financial aid counselor who explained that the payments would be $2000 per month. As a result, I could not get him into the summer program, but I left him in Florida promising to somehow get the money. I was at home STRESSING OUT!
I then got a call that my brother was very ill, and had been flown to Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas, where he was unconscious and not expected to live. I, along with other family members, drove from Los Angeles to Houston in an effort to try and wake my brother up from his unconscious state.
Along this 26 hour drive I brought a portable DVD player and I watched “The Secret.” I watched it several times and began to imagine my brother waking up and talking to me when I got to his bedside. When I arrived my mother and his children had already attempted to wake him but to no avail. When I walked in, I simply put my hand on his forehead and said, “James, wake up… it’s me, your sister.” Now I would like to tell you that he opened his eyes and just began talking like I had imagined him to do over and over again in my mind, but that didn’t happen. He did, however, open his eyes. While there are those who told me it was just a muscle reaction, I knew otherwise, and I believed. And over the course of the next two days he began to talk. Slowly and only short phrases, but He Talked! And by the end of the week we were laughing and telling old stories.
When I got back to California I decided to use “The Secret” on my son’s dilemma, and within a few days I got a call from a tenant who was renting from me. He said his credit was bad, but that he wanted to purchase my home and he wanted to know if he could send me an earnest money deposit for $5000 and we could sign a lease-option contract. I am still short, but that money enabled me to make the first two payments.
The story that I just explained is only a couple of months old. And I am actually very emotional as I type these words. I still worry, but then I begin to focus on my miracles, and what is amazing is that those around me keep telling me that I am lucky. I just tell them, “No, I just know The Secret.” Once my son’s tuition is paid off I intend on buying several videos to give as gifts for my loved ones.
