No Matter What!
I really wanted a 70% or above in my university exams overall to get the 1st class classification for the year, which was the highest possible.
Throughout the period prior to exams, if there was a time at all that I felt some doubt starting to creep in, I would say “No matter what happens you are still getting a first this year.”
I would literally repeat this over and over in my head, until I actually believed it! I believed that I had already done the exams and was now, on the day of the exams in question, just going to answer some easy questions on a paper.
I also believed that in two of my modules I would get 90%, which I did!
And my unwavering belief in this was so strong that for 2 of my exams, even though I studied the night before, I even expanded time by saying “You have so much time, relax.”
So, in the end, with all the modules combined, guess who got 72% overall and a first?
