New Year Wish In Thailand Brought Me To Las Vegas!
This story happened 2 years ago and it will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. At that time I still didn’t know about The Secret and I had no clue that it would become a reality. I never thought it would happen.
It started on December 31, 2011. Every New Year’s Eve, my mom and I usually stayed home because when I was a kid something really bad happened when I went to a celebration for New Year’s. A guy randomly ran out from nowhere and tried to strap people. After that, I never went out for a New Year’s Eve celebration.
At the time we had just moved to a new apartment because our house got flooded. We lived downtown on the 10th floor so we decided that we would watch the fireworks on New Year’s Eve. We counted down until it was the first of January, then watched the fireworks arrive. That was our first time to see fireworks right in front of our eyes! We were so happy!
My mom’s biggest goal was to go to the US, so she started to talk about it. She pointed to a bridge we saw from our room and said, “Look that’s San Francisco!” I was kinda laughing about it and thought “Wow, she really wants to go.”. So I just went with the flow and played with her. I pointed at a temple and said, “Hey, that’s New York, mom. Look!” We kept saying things like that all night and then laughed. I was so full of joy and had the feeling that I was actually in the US already.
After that day I completely forgot about it because we were just playing around and had fun. At the time I had to find a new high school to apply to for the next school year. I did not get selected by any so I just thought maybe I had to stay at my current school. I had no idea that 4 months later I would move to Las Vegas to live with my dad and go to school over there. I didn’t expect anything at all! Then in 2013, my mom moved to Canada and got married!
So now I will stay in Las Vegas and when I’m done I will live in New Westminster in Canada! The Universe gave me not one, but two countries, and I didn’t even expect that!
I hope this story will inspire you to hold on to those dreams that you have.
