I was born and raised in Mexico. When I was little, one of my aunts used to say to me that she wished that someday I would be able to leave the country and work somewhere else. She specifically said the USA.

I graduated from University in 2011 and started working shortly after that. I did not hate my job but it was not what I wanted to be doing forever. I looked for another job and finally, I got the job I wanted in 2013. I kept remembering the words of my aunt that I should move out of the country. In 2015 I got an offer to move to Michigan through the company and went from making 10 thousand dollars in a year to 120 thousand.

Then in 2017, I quit my job and I moved to Canada. Ever since I moved I wanted to work at this particular automotive company. I applied in November 2017 and by January 2018 I finally got an interview. I used to pretend that I was working already there. I would drive to the company just to know how long it took me to get there and so I could plan what time I had to wake up to get there on time if I got the job.

Finally, in February, I received a call from this company with a job offer.
I have had some ups and downs in the company. This year my husband introduced me to the amazing book, The Secret, which has changed my perspective on life and made me realize that I had been using every single step of the book to get what I wanted. Now that I know I have been doing all it says in the book but I was unaware I was doing it, I am working on new goals. I can see myself there with my family, my husband, and my daughter. I can visualize us getting what we want and I can even feel the excitement of getting it.

All I can say is that I am so grateful this book came into my hands. I am so grateful to people like Rhonda for giving us the tools that we all can use to get what we want. We already have them but sometimes we just don’t use them because, like me, we are unaware of our own power.
