Life had been particularly cruel ever since the turn of the new year. I had lost my job, wrecked my car, dropped out of school and the people that I loved were dropping me like a yesterday’s news. Nothing seemed to be going the way I wanted it to. I remembered The Secret and tried applying it to my life as I had done a few months before when my life seemed to be absolutely perfect.

The first time I used The Secret I had gotten everything I wanted: a new car, got back into school, had a job to pay my bills and a great boyfriend. My family and I had been getting along better than ever and I finally took my dream vacation to England! Nothing seemed to be going awry, that is until the start of the New Year. I tried my best to stay positive and keep The Secret in mind but it was just so hard when all that was on my mind was the worry of not being able to pay bills and not having a job.

I stayed positive for a while, working for a job that I had a few summers before and getting some job interviews, but I couldn’t stop worrying about making more money which caused me to doubt more. I had landed a great job, but unfortunately didn’t stick with it as I did not have means of transportation and I spiralled back into the doubting stage. I always told myself that I would have a job before my birthday, and get back into school.

Well I learned that the scholarship program that I go through, the deadline had been extended; giving me more time to apply. And today (6 days before my birthday) I got a job that pays very well and that I love doing! I owe it all to God and the Universe. I am so happy that I didn’t give up! Whenever you have doubts because you think it’s not working soon enough, remember that it will all work out. I’m still working on some stuff & I’ll be sure to write about it!
