Nestle Good Life Story
Submitted by: CHETNA IPAR
FranceI am an international student studying a Masters in Food Technology in the Netherlands. I am basically from India. The Secret and The Magic have changed my life and increased my level of confidence and happiness.
Your way as an international student in Europe (or any new place) is very difficult and challenging in the beginning of your studies, resident, culture, climate etc. Me being an Indian, had quite a mind boggling and novel experience to settle down in a peaceful routine in Netherlands. But as time passed, I carved my way out to be happy and satisfied in a new place. Now, I am almost in love with this darling country!
Here goes my story:
As a food technology student, I had to pursue an internship of 6 months in a food industry. I was very desperate and sure that I wanted to do it in a company like Nestle. Like everyone does, I was applying all over the European continent hunting for internships. It was 3-4 months, I had found nothing!!!
Students around me had already found their internships and were happily moving to new places. I was being rejected for not having a driving licence and not knowing the languages (except French) in Europe! The coordinator was unable to find a good internship for me despite all my good academics!
I had already read The Secret and I was using all the tricks and tips to get a big company like Nestle! I had a “Good Food, Good Life” poster in my room, and a Nestle wallpaper. I was eating all possible Nestle products from the supermarket and behaving as if I am already an intern in Nestle.
But something was still missing! There was some stress in me that wasn’t allowing me to reach my goal.
Suddenly one fine day, my friend Prachi suggested to me that I read The Magic. I believed in Rhonda and her books as always so I started following the book.
As each day was rising, I was feeling light, better and happy. I had stopped worrying about my internship and was being more grateful for a wonderful, happy life in Netherlands.
Then I got an email in my inbox about an internship vacancy for an assistant project manager in Nestle, Beauvais. They wanted a student who has worked on ice cream before!
So before I even realized it, I had a call from HR, got selected by the company for a wonderful project that I had been dreaming for!!!!
I then realized after reading The Magic that I had forgotten to be grateful for what I already had!! So before asking for more, I said thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to the universe for giving me what I already have!!!!
Guess what?
I am already here completing three months of my Nestle internship and three more to go, with loads of job satisfaction and happiness.
Many, many thanks to the universe for realizing my dreams and making me so happy. I want to thank my friend Prachi for giving me a life changing solution to my problem. I love you dear and thank you once again. My university professors are proud of me. They are happy that I added to the goodwill, name and fame of the university.
Truly now, I get to eat good food and get to live a good life!
