Around July I had made a purchase from a website in the United States. My shipment was sent out the very next day, and I expected the package to arrive at my doorstep within 5 to 7 days as I had paid for express shipping. Two weeks had passed, and I had not received my package. I decided to track its whereabouts, and to my horror, the courier actually sent my package off to a different country on another continent of the world!

I didn’t know what to do, so I emailed the courier company, who told me I had to email the company I had made the purchase from. Instead of helping me, the company redirected me back to the courier company. It was a mess. I was getting very impatient and angry. Then I remembered the things I have learned through The Secret and The Magic. I tried to calm myself down by focusing on the good things. Instead of getting mad at this entire mess, I meditated and wrote down on a list the positive aspects of this ‘negative’ situation. I thought of things to be thankful for about this situation. Things like the fact that I even had the money to purchase these things from the United States, and that the company I had made the purchase from shipped out the package rather quickly. After writing all of these things down, I thanked God for the solution to this situation. I also sat down and visualized myself receiving the package with so much joy. I visualized opening up the package and thanking God for this package. This made me happier.

Weeks turned into months, but there was still no sign of my package. As I signed up for text updates about my package, I was horrified when I woke up one day in September to see that my package had been returned to the United States. Instead of getting frustrated and reacting negatively to the situation, I took a few deep breaths and told myself, “Nope, I’m still receiving my package. It will show up at my front door.” I was still not sure what to do, so I contacted the company I made the purchase from to notify them about the status of the shipment. I wanted advice about what to do next, as I really wanted the items I had bought. As the items were a limited edition, the customer service told me that they could not send me another set of these items as they were already sold out. They offered to issue me a full refund for my package, which I accepted. Even though I was very thankful to have received my full refund, there was still a part of me that was slightly disappointed as I had been anticipating this purchase for months. I didn’t want my mood to be let down by what had just happened, so I shifted my focus to just being grateful for everything. I meditated more and lived in the present moment. Soon, I forgot all about my purchase and enjoyed living life.

Around the end of October, I received a text update that my package has cleared customs in the United Kingdom. I was shocked because, in the UK, we usually have to pay for customs depending on the amount of the items sent and my items definitely exceeded the amount. Also, I wasn’t expecting my package anymore, as I thought it had been returned to the company.

Yesterday, to my joy and amazement, my package arrived at my doorstep! I was overjoyed!

While it did take many months for the package to reach me, I felt incredibly thankful as I got all the items I wanted! And for free! This showed me that the Universe works in mysterious ways that we can never really understand but it is not our job to worry about how things will unfold. There is nothing too big nor too small for the Universe. We just need to sit back, relax and believe that the Universe has our backs!
