I had a Nokia cell phone. It was fine, it worked, I didn’t really even think about it. One day, I accidentally got it wet and the screen light stopped working. I had to strain to see the screen in the daytime, and I couldn’t even use it at night. I told my dad that it wasn’t working and he said that we could take it to the AT&T store and have it checked. If you have ever had a broken phone, you know that when you take it in, they will replace your broken phone with the same brand of phone (that works).

Anyway, we went to the store, and they couldn’t get the back off, so they couldn’t replace it that day. They said that they would send me the new one, and in the mean time I should try and get the back off. I decided that I was going to get a new cell phone. I wanted a phone with a QWERTY keyboard. I settled on a red LG Xenon. Without an upgrade, the phone cost $200. I wasn’t going to pay for it.

Well, I waited a few days, and I forgot about it. I didn’t give up. I just stopped thinking about it. I came home from school one day, and my mom said that a package had come for me. I figured it was a replacement phone. When I opened it, it was my LG Xenon!! My mom had remembered what phone I wanted, called the store, and talked the manager into upgrading the phone FOR FREE!! I was amazed! I must have thanked her a thousand times.
