My Little Blue Cabrio.

Montreal, CanadaA single mother of two, who always felt in her heart, there was a better way. Faith lead me there. Old things have passed, I am now a New Creation.
Speak the things that are not as though they are; Romans 4:17.
I did not know of this biblical truth when I had my very first experience.
I was in my early thirties, a lover of convertible cars. Every now and then I would fantasize about owning one. I would pick a model I’d see on the road and envision myself as the driver.
On a Friday, early in the month of April, on my way home from work, I made a pit stop at a VW dealership. I met with a salesman and asked for a quote on a new, blue Cabriolet convertible 2 door, just for the heck of it! The price was way over my budget and deep down I knew I couldn’t afford it,
but I wanted it so badly. I left the premises that sunny Friday afternoon, with the salesman’s business card and a brochure of the vehicle.
As I drove off in my Honda, I looked up to the sky and negotiated with God. “Dear God, if you make this miracle happen for me, I promise to change my lifestyle!”
I laugh at myself today when I remember that negotiation tactic! God must have looked down at me and laughed out loud, knowing all too well that I wasn’t ready to honor my word!
As I drove home, I called my daughter, and said these exact words to her, “Amanda, I don’t know how, but I promise you that on your birthday, I will be coming home with my new convertible car and we will go for a drive in it! “ Her birthday is May 25 and we were in April. Only a month away.
I had no idea how in the world it would be even possible but I can testify that I spoke those words with such conviction! A deep knowing. I felt so happy as I said those words. I was filled with faith, with passion!
The very next morning, I received a phone call from a previous employer whom I hadn’t heard from in years. He called wanting to meet with me to discuss a job opportunity. I was stunned because we had not really left off on good terms.
Without knowing what was to come, I decided to hear what he had to say. Upon our meeting that very same day, he offered me a position in his company and was willing to hire me at any cost. We agreed on the salary and terms. Then just for the heck of it, I mentioned the desire I had to purchase the car, pulling out the brochure I carried in my purse from the day before. I explained to him how I needed a $5,000 dollar deposit in order to buy the car and how the payments were out of budget.
Well, I tell you, not only did he agree to pay the $5,000 dollar deposit, he threw in an additional $100 cash at the end of each week for the monthly payments! This was in addition to the amazing salary that we had agreed on. I accepted his proposition!
That was the very first experience I had using The Secret power. Years later I began reading the bible and learned about the power of our words. The bible is filled with positive affirmations about who we are and the power we have, very similar to The Secret. We have the power to create our reality by the choice of our words.
I now live my life asking, believing, and receiving. Once we change our negative habits and our words into positive ones, the Universe begins to look much brighter. What we speak into the atmosphere manifests itself into existence.
I have had 5 different convertibles since.
