I have a crazy past and would rather not get into it too deep. My wife arrived home one day from a second hand store. She bought 2 things, a glass bottle and a book called “The Secret”. I laughed when she said that of all the books on the shelf, this one she seemed to be attracted to. I didn’t think much of it and started reading the back cover, which I do to most of her books to see how bizarre they are. After I started reading the back I immediately opened the book and began reading it. Everything made so much sense that I couldn’t stop. I instantly had an overwhelming feeling of happiness. I read the whole book and the told everyone I knew about it. They all thought I was nuts but that’s okay.

I was working at a sign factory where I had been for over 4 years. I was still attending college while working but things weren’t quite moving in the direction that I wanted. I had started making web games in my free time, aside from working 40 hours a week and going to college, having a wife and 3 young children. Making games had become my passion. I remember telling my mom one day that by the end of that year I would be working from home making games full time. That was in September of 2009. October 17th 2009 was my last day at the job I had been at for 4 and a half years. I left on good terms which was something I had never done before. I began working for myself and things just kept getting better.

Not too long ago my wife and I were driving and I mentioned that we needed a larger house for our growing family. We discussed it with such passion that I knew we would find a larger house if we really wanted to. Two days later we had found a 9 bedroom house for rent, we moved in the first of the next month. I can’t say that everything is perfect though. I did slip for a short while. I took some time off from practicing what I had learned from The Secret. I had a mini van that the transmission went out in. Why did this happen? We have had 3 mini vans, all 3 of them different makes, models and years all had transmission problems. I have always had it in my mind that mini vans all have transmission problems. That’s exactly what happened.

Before this though when I was learning The Secret, I said that I wanted a big white Cadillac Escalade. I wanted one really bad but then I stopped thinking about it and then we got the van instead. 1 year later it was completely dead, it needed a new transmission and it wouldn’t be cheap. I said you know what we are going to get a really nice car somehow, I didn’t know how but I knew we just would. I went online and printed out a picture of a white Cadillac Escalade and hung it on my wall. It was on a back wall that I would look at from time to time. I would look at the picture and imagine it being in my driveway. No more than a week later we ended up buying a Dodge Durango, not white but silver. It wasn’t the exact thing I had wanted but when you look at the photo and my new car they look pretty close! The main thing I want to get across is that The Secret works whether we think it does or want it to. You are in control, so don’t forget it.
