My life after The Secret
Submitted by: Jackie Fitzpatrick
Birmingham UKI lost my mother in November, I had nursed her for over 3 years as well as keeping a full time job. In order to live with my mother I rented out my home when I moved in with her so when she died I was homeless I was desperate. My sister bought me the secret for christmas. That gift was about to change my whole life
7 months on from receiving The Secret as a gift from my sister at Christmas my life has been totally transformed. I found myself homeless in December after the death of my mother. I now live in a beautiful part of Birmingham in the country, I look out of my bedroom window and see fields of green with poppies, it is truly glorious. The birdsong in the morning is so enchanting and on my way to work I see goslings and ducklings feeding, it is so awesome. At the end of my road is a field with horses and I have befriended them and take great joy in feeding them carrots.
The Secret tells you to wish for what you want so I thought yes I am going to wish for something I could never ever afford in my wildest dreams, a pair of really expensive shoes. Guess what? I got them. Not only that, Im so blessed to be in the position I am today, so very, very lucky not because of the shoes (that was just a test) but because of my peace of mind, my beautiful surroundings, my health and my feeling of being so lucky.
I can never thank The Secret enough, I will eternally be grateful because when I lost my mother I was that close to losing myself in my grief and despair. I did not want to carry on but on reflection I thank my sister for giving me the gift of The Secret.
