In 2020 I was on maternity when I was told that we would be going on lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit worldwide. My company at that time was under ‘Business Rescue’ and most people were resigning, so I was very stressed and confused. I did not receive a salary for a full 9 months.

After reading in the newspapers and watching the news on television about my organization, I decided to go to my bookshelf and take out all the books that I have on The Secret which were The Secret The Power, Hero, and The Magic.  Then I started reading the books. At the time most of my colleagues had resigned from work. I knew that I had a lot of passion for the organization and I just wanted to hold on a little longer. It was a very stressful period but I decided to stay positive.

After months of not getting any communication, I received a letter indicating that the company would reopen and that I could have my job back! I was very excited as I missed going to work. After a week I received an email that said that I had been promoted to a different department with a higher salary! I then signed the offer. After that, I would go to the website every day to check on the jobs and apply.

During the year of 2021, I received two promotions and I achieved all of this by staying positive and reading my daily affirmations. It’s not easy to ask for what you want and stay positive but it is something that one can do with practice. I am now on a journey to manifesting bigger things, all thanks to Rhonda Byrne for introducing us all to The Secret.
