As a student at university, I had a lot of trouble with cash. When I came to know about The Secret, I got the audio book and listened to it a couple of times. It was so inspiring to listen to, so I thought, why not give it a try since I would only gain something from it.

I think the things I learned and tried out most were gratitude and visualization and the feeling good sensation.

I really wanted to be a don at my college residence. I had applied and managed to get references from the only two people who I knew could even give me a proper reference. There were 10 candidates for 5 positions. I so badly wanted this position because it would mean a year of free room and board at our residence and as an International student paying an overly large sum already for my tuition, this would be a great relief.

After listening to The Secret and watching the documentary, I decided to follow some of the things suggested in it. I would thank god that I was already a don. I would keep writing my name as Rosemary Don for 2013-14 continuously on rough pages. I even created literal images that had my face on images of dons from previous years. For some reason, I firmly believed I would get the position and would drive away any negative thoughts and doubts that came into my mind. I even carry around a gratitude rock nowadays.

Of course, as you can probably guess, I got the position just today and I feel awesome! I am also glad that it makes my family even happier than I am at this news.
