My Dream Pony.
Submitted by: Erin C
Scotland, UKI am an animal lover and running a pet care business that is growing more successful constantly.
I was given The Secret book as a 30th birthday present by my best friend. I moved shortly after so it got packed away and, if I’m honest, forgotten about.
One evening I was looking for something, opened a cupboard and there was the book! I forgot about everything else, sat down and started to read it. Suddenly my life was making sense! All the worry about debt was keeping me in debt!! I spent the next few weeks training myself to be grateful for the things in my life.
One of my major gratitudes has always been my little rescue pony, Starr! She was facing a trip to the slaughterhouse as zoo meat before her rescuers intervened and I adopted her! My only regret was that she would never be big enough for me to ride but, although I often thought it would be nice to have something I could ride, I didn’t dwell on it.
One day, whilst out at work, I got a message from the friend I share a field with, it simply said ‘free Highland’ (my favourite breed) with a link.
I clicked on the link several times to look at the picture of the very handsome grey chap standing in the snow and then I just called!!
Despite the fact that they are a very popular breed, that usually cost a few thousand pounds. I was the first to enquire about him and made arrangements to see him that night. It transpired that, not only did he not live far from where our field is, we were actually able to walk him through the woods to our field on the day I brought him home.
The LOA has given me many other things since then but my handsome boy is by far the biggest to date! I am so grateful for him, my lovely, sweet boy!
