My Dream Motorcycle.

RomâniaI followed The Secret, but not as much as I should have.
I followed The Secret ever since I saw the documentary for the first time in 2009. I even bought the books with my own money when I got my first job. But sadly, I must admit, there were many moments in my life when I just forgot about it. Sometimes I even got very stubborn, sticking to toxic things or people that were no good for me. Luckily, somehow, I got to meet my wife which is the best thing that ever happened to me. But, today’s story is not about her, although it involves her pretty much.
One of my dreams ever since I got to the age of 18, was to have a motorcycle. But, because of financial reasons, I gave up on this dream a long time ago. Last year in the spring, when I was walking on the streets with my wife, I started to notice a lot of motorcycles parked on the sidewalks. So I mentioned to her how nice it would be for me to have a motorcycle although I wasn’t 100% serious about it, thinking she most likely would not agree with it. But she replied back to me saying, “You could take out another loan at the bank and buy yourself one.” And I was like, “We are already in enough debt, I am not sure we should take out another loan.” But, it seems that the situation was not as bad as I was seeing it.
The first step I took in the summer, was to sign up with the motorcycle school so I could get my driver’s license. Meanwhile, I was already looking for my dream motorcycle. After a lot of research, I decided that the perfect motorcycle for me is the Yamaha FZ6 S2 Fazer with ABS.
One issue was the fact that being a noob in the motorcycle world, I needed someone with more experience to help me check the motorcycle that I wanted to buy. I even found one piece that was looking perfect. The seller even agreed to meet me in a week at a motorcycle service shop so it could be checked for any hidden issues. But on the morning of that day, he texted me to say that someone else already bought the bike.
Things got very sad for me at that moment because while there were other options on the internet, none of the other bikes had the ABS option. I really wanted this option on my bike because I was a beginner. So my last option was a bike from a town called Lugoj which was about 500 km from my home. It was the only piece available on sale with the ABS option. The price was 3100 EUR, which was not bad at all for its age, 2009, and the mileage, which was 16000 km. But I just couldn’t see any possibility other than to ship it to my home because I had not yet even gotten my motorcycle driver’s license.
After a while, the seller reduced the price to 3000 EUR. I took that as a sign from the Universe. So I decided to call the seller and see if there was any possibility to help me ship the motorcycle to my home. He seemed to be a very nice guy and found a solution from his friend who helped him ship it with a motorcycle platform attached to the car. All I had to do was to go there, see the bike, pay for it and come back home with his friend that would deliver it for me. It didn’t even matter that nobody could come with me to check the bike. I just followed one of the many tutorials on Youtube to help me figure out what I must watch for before I buy a second-hand bike.
So, it all went perfectly. I met the seller and his friend and they were great people. I also got myself a great motorcycle for a great deal. I really had to thank them for that, which I did of course! Most importantly, I have to thank my wife who believes in me and is willing to go out with me anytime for a ride on the motorcycle.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
