It was before I had read The Secret and learnt the art of applying it to my life. My husband works in the advertising film industry and he has terrible schedules. The production house where he worked made him work long hours, sometimes days at a stretch, without paying him at par industry standards. He was unhappy in his job because of this, but he couldn’t leave it because of our home loan, and because we had just had a daughter.

I would miss him terribly, especially when our daughter took her first step, when she first called out to her father. He would be extremely tired when he did come home, and we couldn’t talk for days at a time. Even when we did talk, he would be irritable.

Then I watched The Secret. I started applying it to my life and his. I started imagining my husband spending more time with us and still having a great job which he loved and paid well.

For some time, nothing happened. Then one day he began toying with the idea of going freelance. Neither of us were sure if we could afford it, but I supported him wholeheartedly nonetheless.

Three months later, he quit his job, and started looking for freelance work. In the initial phase, there wasn’t much work, but he got paid enough to see us through the month. Then the projects started pouring in.

Today, he is a freelancer, who has a number of good projects which pay him three times as much as he would earn when he was doing that job. He also has much more time for us too, for when there are no projects, he is at home spending quality time with our daughter and me.

I really want to thank Rhonda for making it possible for me and for helping me live my ideal life.

I am a much better and happier person because of you.
