My Dream Job
I want to first start by thanking God, Rhonda and the whole team of The Secret. I want to thank each and every person who posted a story on this website. This website has been such an amazing support system for me.
My story starts in 2012 while I was working as a trainee and my contract was about to finish. At that point I was reading The Magic and following all the principles. My main goal was to get a job at my dream company Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC).
I sent numerous resumes and then my mom met the Human Resource Manager who was her neighbor growing up and gave her my resume. I remembered my coworkers asked me why do I want to work for T&TEC so badly. As I was responding, a lady from T&TEC called to invite me to an interview.
I got the job at T&TEC and I was so super excited.
Then I was assigned to work in Customer Services which was terrible. But according to the law of attraction principles, I attracted this post to myself because I always stated I hated it and would never want to work in Customer Services. The supervisor I had victimized me because I was not one of her favorites. Most of my co workers were just as terrible and customers were so quarrelsome. I just remembered crying every day in the washroom.
I still remember the law of attraction and in my spare time I would dream of taking the elevator to my dream department which is the Human Resources Department and working in the recruitment section. I always dreamed and wished from the bottom of my heart that the managers would just tell me to report to another department and there were be no drama.
In September, 2013 I organised to get transferred to a different department but not the human resources department. That transfer did not materialize and I was so heartbroken and depressed for a good while.
Then, in the beginning of 2014 I claimed my transfer and tried my best to count all the blessings I had in my life. Well the second Friday in April my manager called me in her office to say that the recruitment department is under staffed and they would like to borrow some one for one month and she choose to send me.
I was elated and so excited even though it was just for one month. I worked hard and tried my best. I asked my supervisor in human resources department if it would be possible to stay in the department. Her response was not too positive. Then, some one advised me to speak with the Human Resources Manager because the department on a whole is under staffed. His response was a lot more positive and I kept claiming that I would stay in my dream job.
Presently, I got my transfer and everything I dreamed about including taking the elevator to go to work in the recruitment came through. I thank God each and every day that I have my dream job in my dream company.
In so many other areas of my life I have seen the principles of the law of attraction work even in negative ways when I am fearful or anxious about something.
Right now I am claiming that things will work out with a friend of mine and come September 2014 I will starting my Master of Human Resource Management at Arthur Lok Jack School of Business Studies. I know, like I know, like I know, everything will always work out for me and every one. I am already thanking God for working out everything in my favor.
Stay blessed and positive everyone. Remember that you deserve all the good things that life has to offer.
