Early in 2010 I decided it would be fantastic to win a luxury car. I regularly purchase tickets in local charity lotteries and on one occasion I pinned the picture of the prize cars to my fridge and superimposed my face in the driver’s seat. I kept this on my fridge for 2 or 3 months and used to tell friends that I was going to win that car.

After a while I took the picture down (I didn’t win that lottery) and forgot about it. About 6 months later I received a phone call from the Lifesaver’s Lottery here in Queensland to tell me I had won first prize in a special VIP draw – I didn’t even know I had been entered as tickets were automatic. Guess what first prize was? A $75,000 BMW!
