I had been longing for a little kitten for quite sometime. I had imagined in my mind a cute little black kitten. I told my mum to go to the pet store and get me a kitten, but we never got around to it. I had also been looking at black kittens on google.

Then about one week later I went into my garden and there before my very eyes was a black little kitten playing. He didn’t belong to anyone. He had a sister who was a white kitten. His sister always ran away from me but the black kitten I wanted let me stroke him and pick him up.

He is now my pet, he sleeps at the bottom of my bed every night and I love him so much! I called him “Beanie”. His sister still comes to see him every now and then, we call her “Rose”. I think she has found herself a home too. I will never forget that morning that I saw him like a ball of fluff playing in the long grass for the first time… I am grateful for him always 🙂
