My Acting Story.

Tri-Cities WAI am a 15 year old girl with an acting dream!
I’m a very brave and ambitious person. I have known about The Secret since I was 13 or almost 14. I am now 15. When I started high school, I wanted to join Drama. I could not make it to the auditions, so I asked the director if I could audition during lunch the next day. He said yes, gave me a script and I was so very nervous. I memorized the lines and went over the lines the whole night. I used The Secret and said that I wanted to get a good part but an easy part, knowing it would be my first play.
The next day came, and so did auditions for the play “Up the Down Staircase.” I had my lines memorized, but I was so nervous. As I walked onto the stage, my stomach flipped. As I started saying my lines, I was doing good, but according to the director, I was saying them too fast. After the auditions, I stayed positive, and I told myself I would be on the cast list.
So the next day came to school, and I rushed to see the list. I was not on it. I checked twice to make sure. I even went to the director to see if he had made a mistake. He had not made a mistake. I was very upset, but I accepted it and moved on. I told my friends that I did not get a part and that I was not in the cast. They said that I should tell the director that I could help out with the stage crew. So I thought that even if I was not in the play, I could still be around the actors and see what it was all about.
So, a week later, when I decided to go talk to the director, he randomly said to me, “Would you like to be in the play?” I was so shocked but I did not even hesitate a single second. I immediately said yes! He said that one of the girls got into a fight at school and was suspended, so she got kicked out of the play, and he needed a replacement. I asked him what part I would be playing. He said it was a girl who is shy and does not talk that much. It was perfect! I did not have a lead or anything, but I got a perfect part!
After hours of rehearsal each day, I embraced the character, and I was told that I gave my director chills when I acted and performed. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
So, the theme of my story is that even when something does not happen right away or does not happen the exact way you thought it would, the Universe knows the fastest and best way to bring you what you want. Just have unwavering faith and know that the Universe knows best.
Thank you to Rhonda Byrne! I hope my story inspired someone reading this.
