Music to my ears

Los AngelesI am a single mother of an amazing and beautiful pre-teen daughter. I work as a social-security disability advocate and love what I do. I am grateful!
My 10 year old daughter has been taking piano for the past few years, but her keyboard recently stopped working. Luckily, a friend of mine loaned us one. It was much smaller and not great for actual piano lessons, but I was grateful. Her previous keyboard cost over $500, and I did not have that money to spare at this time.
We sit and listen and watch “The Secret” all the time; it’s a great way to spend relaxing Sundays.
Another friend of mine from work also plays the piano and was looking to upgrade his digital piano. He started doing research for mine as well. Two weeks ago I decided on the one we were going to purchase in December for my daughter’s birthday (two weeks before Christmas). I knew by then I would have the needed money.
Well, on Monday, my friend came to work and told me he found a much better digital piano that’s like new, only a year old and retails for three times the amount of the one I was planning on buying. It was much better quality as well and they were selling it for the same price as the one I was going to buy, $550.00!! She purchased it for $1600 less than a year ago. Problem was I didn’t have the ready funds. I didn’t have much time and I had no idea where the money was going to come from in two days, but I said a prayer and believed that my daughter would soon be making beautiful music again.
To make a long story short, my parents and my sister decided to surprise my daughter with an early birthday present. My belief is music to my ears and the digital piano looks and sounds better than I could even imagine. I am so grateful!!
