My oldest daughter, who lives away from home read The Secret and was so excited about it. She felt it was already working for her in lots of ways so she wanted to share it with me because we are quite alike in our thinking. She bought me a copy and it came as a surprise in the post. I began to read the book but I wanted to see the film so I bought it over the internet and watched it on my pc. It gave me so much to think about but I wanted to focus on one immediate pressing problem. Money! It was 6 weeks to Christmas and both our cars needed a MOT in the next 2 weeks and we had not managed to put anything away for either this or Christmas so I needed a miracle. I needed about £800 for Xmas and about £400 to get the 2 cars ready.

I kept thinking about the bit in the film where they say to imagine bills in the mail, imagine cheques, so I did that all week. I didn’t know how it would happen because people don’t often send cheques in the mail anymore. I just thought well somehow money is going to come in the mail.

On the Friday my husband got a letter from a company he used to work for about a very small pension he had with them. They were changing to another pension company and they were offering to increase his pension by £2,179.60 or he could choose to take that as a cash sum now. This will end up around £1,500 cash. I was blown away, although a little disappointed with them saying it would be settled by next February. I knew I could at least borrow the money till then if I had too. I kept just believing it’s going to be ok and the money will come in time for Christmas. And sure enough yesterday when he went to sign some paperwork they decided to settle it early. Money in the mail!

The only thing I focused on, I asked for and it came, right away. I didn’t even say how much I wanted just enough for the cars and a good Christmas and that’s exactly what we got.

Now I’m aiming higher, the sky’s the limit. Believe it everyone x
